How Much Does Christmas Light Installation Cost in Pensacola?
The short answer
For most single-story and modest two-story homes in the Pensacola area, professional Christmas light installation lands in the high hundreds for a full season of service. Our current early-bird special covers up to 150 feet of roofline for a flat $990 — and that's the whole season, not just the install: custom design, professional installation, all-season maintenance, January takedown, and off-season storage.
Larger homes, second-story rooflines, tree wraps, and extras like garland and wreaths add to that. The only way to get a firm number for your specific house is a free design visit — we measure the roofline, design the look with you, and lock the price on the spot before any work is scheduled.
What actually drives the price
Roofline footage is the biggest factor. A compact ranch might have 80 feet of front roofline; a large two-story with dormers and returns can pass 250 feet. Since every strand is custom-cut to your home, footage directly drives material and labor.
Stories and pitch matter too. Second-story rooflines and steep gables take more time, more ladder work, and more safety setup — that's exactly the work you're paying professionals to take off your hands.
Finally, add-ons: palm and oak wraps, shrub netting, window outlines, garland, wreaths, and pathway lighting are each quoted on top of the base roofline package. Most Pensacola homes add at least one tree wrap — it's the signature Gulf Coast look.
What a full-service price should include
Be careful comparing quotes — a cheap install-only price often leaves you owning every problem after the crew drives away. A genuinely full-service package includes five things: a design visit, professional installation with commercial-grade lights, in-season maintenance (ours is a 48-hour outage response, no charge), scheduled January takedown, and climate-controlled off-season storage.
With WAHOO! the lights themselves are leased as part of the service — there's nothing to buy, and anything that fails is ours to fix or replace. You never pay for a dead strand, and your garage never fills up with tangled boxes.
Why professional costs more than a box of store lights — and why it's worth it
Big-box strings come in fixed lengths that never match a real roofline, which is why DIY displays sag at the corners and die by mid-December. Commercial-grade C9 LED stringer wire is cut to the inch, clipped (never nailed or stapled), and rated for Gulf Coast wind and rain.
Then there's the ladder. Wet December rooflines are genuinely dangerous, and our installers carry full liability and workers' comp insurance. When you hire it out, the risk transfers with the work.
